In a meeting of musical minds, Canadian artist PSL and East Coast Canadian singer/songwriter Max Bujold joined forces in the picturesque Maritimes to create a song with a lasting impact. Their collaboration resulted in “Underdogs,” a heartfelt anthem dedicated to individuals who have faced doubt, unjust judgment, or simply been misunderstood.
PSL, known for his distinct style, stepped out of his comfort zone to collaborate with Max Bujold, who brings a rock/country flavor to the table. The fusion of their talents birthed a compelling musical journey.
“I have friends and family in the Maritimes, and they always spoke highly of Max Bujold and suggested we collaborate,” PSL shared. “I attended a few of his shows, and the moment I heard his music, I knew we could create something remarkable. Even though rock/country isn’t my usual style, I embraced the challenge. A few weeks after our first meeting and discussions about collaborating, I invited Max to my studio, and that’s when ‘Underdogs’ came to life.”
The song’s theme resonates deeply with both artists, as they have experienced doubt throughout their musical careers. PSL emphasized the importance of perseverance in the face of doubt. “As artists, we are continually doubted as we ascend the music industry ladder. From my experience, I’ve learned that doubt is temporary if you put in the work. You have to keep going, and success will silence the doubters.”

When asked about his upcoming projects, PSL revealed exciting plans for his fans. “I’m currently working on more features and collaborations. I have a wealth of music waiting to be shared with my fans. Additionally, I have a one-time show scheduled for October 6th in New Brunswick, and I’m thrilled to announce the release of a French album on October 20th, among many other exciting endeavors.”
