Francheyez, an artist deeply connected to his Puerto Rican heritage, recently released the captivating song and music video, “Piñones.” Teaming up with Conan and produced by YNVS Shampoo, the song honors his roots and the often-overlooked Afro-Latinos in Puerto Rico.
Growing up, Francheyez cherished the annual PR festival, instilling in him a strong appreciation for his cultural heritage. Reconnecting with his childhood friend Conan, a former member of his rap group, brought a unique authenticity to “Piñones.”
Recognizing the track’s power, YNVS Shampoo encouraged Conan to collaborate with Francheyez. With the Puerto Rican festival just weeks away, they seized the opportunity to capture the song’s essence and showcase Puerto Rican culture in New York City.
The accompanying video, shot by Prokreators Multimedia, authentically portrays the beauty and spirit of Puerto Rico. Francheyez, wearing a jersey he won as a child at the festival, symbolizes his journey coming full circle, guided and supported by his parents’ spirit.
