Gun Lee returns with “The Things You Love” his second studio album since releasing his freshman work “In the Beginning”. Gun Lee is far from a lazy rapper, The NYC veteran released countless EPs, singles, and even a mixtape where he rapped 50,000 bars straight, however, this is his first full-length Ed studio album in three years. The Long Island Native Gun Lee Jeffrey certainly did not disappoint, providing listeners with music that transcends generations. Gun Lee provides us with music people from all walks of life could relate to “Girl I wasn’t enough for You” he raps off of “Always Make Time” on his sophomore album. Gun Lee is doing things he’s always done on “The Things You Love” rapping lyrical and blending it with transparency. “The Things You Love” touches on topics from heartbreak, substance abuse, rejection, trauma, loneliness, and much more. While touching on all these topics Gun Lee does it in a way only he can putting him in a category of Hip-Hop not many other rappers could blend into. “The Things You Love” is an amazing album from front to back.
