Chris Rock has made fun of Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith in his new stand-up comedy special, Selective Outrage. During the show, Rock made reference to the infamous moment when Smith slapped him on stage at the Oscars in 2022, joking that the incident was “some b—- a– shit”.
He also accused Smith of practicing “selective outrage” and suggested that the actor’s anger at him was unfounded. Rock also addressed the controversy surrounding Jada Pinkett Smith, who admitted to having a relationship with singer August Alsina, saying that “his wife was f—ing her son’s friend”.
The comments are the latest in a long line of jokes that Rock has made at the expense of the Smiths. In his stand-up special, Rock also touched on other topics including the Capitol Riots and interracial couples in commercials.
The show was the first live special broadcast by Netflix, and featured a pre-show and post-show with guests including Arsenio Hall, Amy Schumer, J.B. Smoove, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Dana Carvey. The show was filmed in Baltimore and Los Angeles and broadcast globally.
